Our live online courses are now open for enrollment. We are offering 3 courses to begin, Modular 101: Intro to Eurorack, Sound Design 101 and The Many Faces of Make Noise Maths. Each course will last four weeks, and include four 1 hour masterclasses.
In addition, students will have access to
- Our private student Facebook discussion group
- Recorded video archive of your masterclasses
- Personal email support from your instructor and
- Office Hours 2 times a week with your instructor and fellow students, for live question/answer sessions and discussion of all things modular synth
Modular 101: Intro to Eurorack covers the bedrock information that every modular user should know. From CV, gate and trigger, to case considerations and synth assembly, to what different modules do and how to connect them to make sounds, this course will give the student a better grasp of the field and their instrument. This level is designed for total beginners who haven’t purchased any gear, as well as for experienced modular synth enthusiasts who want to fill in the gaps in their working knowledge.
Sound Design 101 covers signal flow and sound design in modular synthesis. We will discuss everything from creating basic synth voices and drum sounds to FM synthesis, creative sequencing, sampling and more. Whether you are making your first sounds or you want to patch with more authority, this course will widen your understanding of your instrument and teach you how to tame the sounds trapped inside.
The Many Faces of Make Noise Maths covers the vast power of the Make Noise Maths module. We will examine this ubiquitous module in depth, from the confusing panel layout to the Swiss-army-knife functionality within. Whether you just bought Maths or only use one channel of the first edition model, this course will open up a world of possibilities contained within this wonderful device.
For a limited time, each class is currently being offered at an initial rate of only $200!
